“Gatecrasher One” nightclub in Sheffield went up in smoke yesterday.

Firefighters battled for hours to put out the blaze in the famous club.

All future Gatecrasher and Hed Kandi nights that were planned for the club this summer are still to go ahead at a venue to be confirmed.

Simon Raine, Managing Director of Gatecrasher, said: “True to our own motto of “Never Stand Still” we will be moving forward to scope out how we put on our planned club nights in Sheffield during the summer”.

I only visited Gatecrasher One once when I was younger as I wasn’t really into the dance scene, and I thought it was a very good night.

Many top DJ’s have played at Gatecrasher One over the years, including Pete Tong, Mauro Picotto and Armand van Helden.
