What else is there to know about Jonathan Rhys Meyers?

He was expelled from school at the age of 16 and spent most of his time hanging around pool halls and he was spotted in a Cork pool hall by a casting agent who was looking for young Irish boys to appear in “War Of The Buttons” and invited him to audition.

Although he failed to get the part the casting agents encouraged him to pursue his acting career and shortly afterwards he got his first role in the film “A Man Of No Importance”
