George Clooney Returns For ER Finale
It has been reported that Georgeous George will return to ER for the very last season, David Zabel the shows producer is wanting the old characters together with the current actors for a one-off special to celebrate the ending of the show. ER will end after its 15th season and they are interested in bringing back George Clooney’s character Dr. Douglas Ross as well as Anthony Edwards character Dr. Mark Greene, even though he died of a brain tumour. Zabel added
“There are ways to do it that we’ve thought about - even if it were like a lost episode from 1996″.
George Clooney rose to prominence with the TV drama, which had put the 46-year-old star on the Hollywood A-list after his run on the show from 1994 to 1999. ER is NBC’s second longest-running drama after Law & Order and has had star guest appearances by Lucy Liu in 1995, as an Asian Immigrant whose son suffers from AIDS, Kirsten Dunst in 1996–97 as a troubled teenager, Ewan McGregor in 1997 as a convenience store gunman, Thandie Newton as Kem, Dr. Carter’s love interest from Africa and Ray Liotta in 2005, for playing a regret-ridden, dying alcoholic Charlie Metcalf….to name but a few!
Zabel said:
“We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now. We’d love to get them all back in some way - that doesn’t mean we are going to but we are going to try”.
