Richie Sambora, lead guitarist for Bon Jovi — was arrested in Laguna Beach, California, on Tuesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police say he could also face an additional charge of endangering the welfare of a child as it was reported that his 10 year old daughter Ava was in the vehicle with him as well as two other females — including another minor in his black Hummer at the time of the arrest.

“He was stopped for lane-straddling and weaving in lanes,” Laguna Beach police spokesman Sgt. Jason Kravetz said. “The officer who contacted him smelled alcohol, got him out of the vehicle and performed a field sobriety test.”

Police are waiting for blood test results

Ken Sunshine, a spokesman for Bon Jovi, had no comment.
