Born in Madrid, Spain on the 15th of November 1983 as Fernando Verdasco Carmona. Fernando is currently the second-highest ranked Spanish tennis player and ranked number 11 in the world. He started playing tennis at the age of 2 and had a full time coach at the tender age of 4.
