Take That are possibly leading a boom in gig ticket sales, with UK stadium shows selling in record time despite the credit crunch.
Tickets for their 14 stadium shows – including four nights at Wembley Stadium – cost between £45 and £65 each. By 1530 GMT, only five of the dates had tickets left. Their promoters SJM said the pop band’s tour was the fastest-selling in UK history.
Other big name bands which have sold out their arena tours are AC/DC, Metallica, Oasis and The Killers have also sold out UK shows in recent weeks.
But while massive stars thrive, there are fears that a recession could hit tours by small and middle-ranking acts.
Take Thats The circus live – 2009 Tour starts on the 6th of June at The Stadium Of Light – Sunderland and moves on to play Hampden Park, Glasgow, Millenium Stadium, Cardiff, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester and Wembley Stadium, London
AND I HAVE TICKETS FOR GLASGOW……I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!
In my school years I actually adored A-Ha. they were cool and of course, Morten Harket was just gorgeous. I loved the hit single “Take On Me” and now someone has re-written the song to say exactly what is happening in the original vid…..brilliant LOL!!!
Vicky Jones from Abercwmboi in the Cynon Valley is an ‘obsessed Westlife fan and to celebrate her 40th birthday she has spent 16 hours having a tattoo of the band across her shoulders.
The mother of four says she is their greatest fan and spends about £4000 a year on Westlife, she has seen Westlife in concert 300 times!
Band members Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian added their autographs two months ago and She then had them copied over onto her back beneath the pictures.
She said: “My children reckon I’m crazy but the tattoos are fabulous.”
Personally I am not really a Westlife fan but each to their own……and yes…..I do think she is nuts!!!
So we know that the very gorgeous Wentworth Miller appeared in Maria Carey’s music videos for her hit singles, ‘It’s Like That” and ‘We Belong Together’. But how many other now famous actors have appeared in music videos prior to their fame? To be honest there have probably been quite a few.
Here is a small collection of the ones that I know about. Enjoy!!
Josh Holloway – Star of “Command And Conquer 3″ and US Drama series “Lost” appeared in Aerosmith’s 1993 ‘Cryin’ video alongside a very young Alicia Silverstone. God I love this song!!
To be honest I was never a huge Nelly Furtado fan. But recently my opinion has changed! Since she re-vamped her career in 2006 with the release of singles such as “Promiscuous”, “Maneater”, and “All Good Things (Come to an End)” I have enjoyed her music and the fact that she looks 100 times hotter than she ever did before!
Then came the single “Give It to Me” with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake which was absolutely brilliant. So here are a few pics of Nelly taken at a photoshoot and the video to “Give It to Me”
Here are a few high quality pics of Bon Jovi live at the St Mary stadium in Southampton. The pictures were taken during their show on the 11th of June. I went to see them live at Ibrox, Glasgow, a few years ago and they were amazing, and I don’t care what anyone else says, Jon is still sexy!

The Ting Tings hit the top spot in the UK singles chart yesterday with ‘That’s Not My Name’. You may be thinking that’s no big deal, yet another pop group you’ve never heard of at number one.
I can assure this time around it is definitely a bit different – in fact it’s very different because this has to be one of the worst songs you are ever likely to suffer. It isn’t even a novelty single which you can just laugh and shake your head at knowing it will have gone in three weeks never to be played on the radio again. This is a more serious attempt at chart success, sadly for all of us people have bought into this madness and bought enough cd’s and downloads to punish us all.
Prepare yourself for a sore head and possibly ear ache, don’t say I didn’t warn you haha!
Work on a possible James Bond film theme has been abandoned because singer Amy Winehouse is not ready to make music, producer Mark Ronson has said. Winehouse, whose battle against drink and drug addiction has overshadowed her musical success, recently received a police caution for common assault after slapping a man.
Who cares if she is ready or not! She is just a mess who the media keep glorifying. To be honest I am sick to death of her and her antics. Why can’t she just sort herself out or sod off. There are thousands of talented people out there who would love to be given the chance that she has been given.
Queen are said to be releasing their first studio album for 13 years, this will their first album without the vocals of Frontman and legend Freddie Mercury. The last albumthey released “Made in Heaven” was in 1995 and featured material written and recorded by Freddie Mercury before he died in 1991.
The new album named “The Cosmos Rocks” will feature ex-Free singer Paul Rodgers, who has replaced Mercury in the band’s live shows and the band have also announced a Queen and Paul Rodgers 14-nation European tour, starting in September which will include UK dates in Nottingham, Glasgow, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Liverpool as well as dates in Russia, Poland, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Serbia, the Czech Republic and Austria.
But the burning question in my mind is:
Should Queen Return With A New Album?
My answer to that would be a definate “NO”, personally I think they should have give it up when Freddie died, after all he was the character that was Queen! I mean it’s hardly as if they need the money is it??
